Chant des captifs africains arrachés à leurs terres par les négriers, symbole de l’esclavage et hymne à la liberté, le gospel accompagne la vie quotidienne des Afro-Américains et illumine le rituel de leurs églises baptistes et pentecôtistes. Pour son concert de Noël, l’OPRL propose un florilège de ces chants joyeux et envoûtants, transcrits pour orchestre et chœur, en compagnie du magnifique ZO !
