PREAMBLE
Confirmation of a booking by the purchaser implies unreserved acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Special conditions for certain types of sales (groups, schools, companies, etc.) may be specified in OPRL publications.
The OPRL acts :
- as an organiser of its own productions.
- as a service provider for ticket sales for its own productions.
- as a partner and co-producer for certain shared productions.
- as a service provider for other event organisers and/or venue hirers and, as such, cannot under any circumstances be held responsible for any changes in date, venue, price or cancellation of events resulting from a decision by the organisers and/or venue hirers.
In accordance with article VI.53 of the Code of Economic Law, the purchaser has no right of withdrawal in the case of services relating to leisure activities if, as in this case, the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
Prices
Ticket prices by category and season tickets are available in the season brochure, on the www.oprl.be website and from the OPRL box office. These prices are subject to change without notice.
Ticket and season ticket prices are quoted inclusive of all taxes and in euros. This is the price charged for purchases at the OPRL box office. These prices may be subject to additional charges when purchased by telephone or online. The OPRL is not bound by price increases applied by intermediaries.
Payment methods
The following methods of payment are available:
- On site: cash, bank card, Visa, Mastercard
- Telephone: Visa, Mastercard
Online payment:
- Bancontact, Belfius DirectNet, ING Homepay, Paypal, Visa, Mastercard, AMEX
It is only possible to subscribe to categories 1, 2 or 3.
Payment in instalments is possible for subscriptions over €500.
Discounts
Discounts may be granted for certain categories of spectators and for special offers. These discounts are only valid during the announced validity period and cannot be combined with other discounts or season tickets.
It is the responsibility of spectators who wish to take advantage of these discounts to request their application when booking their seats. Only certain discounts are applicable when booking online; spectators wishing to take advantage of specific discounts are invited to contact the box office directly by telephone or in person.
In the case of a reduced price, valid proof of entitlement will be required when collecting tickets.
No discount is applicable after the order has been placed.
Picking up tickets
Tickets can be :
- printed out by the purchaser, or presented on the screen of a smartphone or tablet (electronic ticket).
- collected by the purchaser before the performance from the OPRL ticket office on presentation of the confirmation e-mail, proof of payment or proof of identity, up to the start time of the concert; or
- or sent by ordinary post up to 5 days before the concert date, subject to a €1.5 postage charge. Less than 5 days before the concert, tickets may be collected from the OPRL box office for a €1 administration fee.
Tickets not collected or used cannot be refunded or exchanged.
Reservations are valid for 5 days from registration. After this period, unpaid tickets will be released and put back on sale without notice and without any right of appeal. For online sales, the purchase will only be firm and definitive once the buyer has received confirmation of the purchase by e-mail.
If a ticket or season ticket is lost, a duplicate can be issued on payment of 2 euros per ticket or 8 euros per season ticket. Duplicates must be requested from the ticket office on presentation of proof of identity.
Exchanges
Up to 24 hours before a concert, it is possible to request the exchange of a ticket for another concert produced by the OPRL at the Salle Philharmonique de Liège, subject to payment of any higher price difference. Exchanging for a lower-priced concert ticket will not entitle the OPRL to a refund of the difference.
Exchanges cannot be made on the evening of a concert.
No tickets will be exchanged if the request is made after the dates and times of the concert concerned.
Tickets sold via an intermediary cannot be exchanged.
Refunds
Tickets and season tickets will not be refunded unless the concert is cancelled or in cases of force majeure as determined by the OPRL. In these cases, refunds can only be made by bank transfer.
Subscriptions
The conditions for taking out a subscription are available in the season brochure, on the www.oprl.be website and from the OPRL box office. They may vary depending on whether you are renewing your subscription or taking out a new one, and according to the subscription packages on offer.
During the subscription period (between the announcement of the season programme and the opening of concert sales), subscription seats are allocated first to concert-goers renewing their subscription, then to new subscribers. The number of subscription concerts purchased is the second priority criterion. After the concert sales have begun, subscriptions are allocated according to seat availability.
Subscribers wishing to be placed together must fill in a joint subscription request form.
Concert ticket
Your concert ticket must be presented on request at the entrance to the Salle Philharmonique.
Each ticket gives access only to the concert mentioned to a single spectator. Each ticket has a unique QR code that can be scanned at the entrance to the concert hall.
Tickets are personal. The identity and age of the ticket holder may be verified by means of an identity document.
It is forbidden to resell or transfer tickets for commercial purposes.
Any falsification will be prosecuted.
Purchaser contact details
The purchaser explicitly agrees to provide accurate, up-to-date and complete contact details when ordering concert tickets. This data is essential in order to associate the purchaser with his/her numbered seats in the concert hall and to enable the OPRL to notify the purchaser in the event of a change of programme or cancellation. The OPRL reserves the right, where it has reasonable grounds to believe that the information provided is inaccurate, incomplete or obsolete, to refuse or cancel the transaction requested. This data will be stored and used in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (RGPD) (see our confidentiality and privacy policy).
Liability
The OPRL cannot be held responsible :
- in the event of cancellation or postponement of a concert
- the content of the concert
- a change of performers
- any change to the programme
- a change in the concert schedule
- a change in the allocation of seats following a change in the seating plan
- visibility on the stage offered by the seats (information on visibility is available from the OPRL ticket office and seats with limited or very limited visibility are indicated when booking online).
No compensation or refund is provided in the event of a dispute in connection with the above.
The OPRL declines all responsibility for any damage whatsoever to effects, objects or materials brought by spectators and which have not been deposited in the cloakroom of the Salle Philharmonique. Spectators are responsible for any direct or indirect damage they may cause while attending the Salle Philharmonique.
Contractual relationship
These general conditions of sale govern the entire contractual relationship between the OPRL and the purchaser, to the exclusion of the purchaser's general conditions. Any modification, derogation or addition to these general conditions of sale must be the subject of a written agreement. The OPRL has the right to modify at any time, and without prior written authorisation, the content of its general conditions of sale and its merchant sites. The modifications are applicable from the moment they are published on the website, unless otherwise agreed. The relationship between the OPRL and the purchaser is subject solely to Belgian law. In the event of any dispute, only the courts of the district of Liège shall have jurisdiction.
ACCESS TO THE PHILHARMONIC HALL AND CONCERT SEATS
Tickets are valid only for the concert for which they have been issued.
The Salle Philharmonique opens its doors one hour before the start of the concert. Unless there are exceptions defined by the production or stage requirements, seats are available half an hour before the concert.
Concerts start at the time indicated. Latecomers may only enter the hall at a time deemed appropriate by the hall manager.
Accessibility for PRM
All floors of the Salle Philharmonique (except the parterre) are accessible by lift. There are places on the 2nd floor for people with reduced mobility. They are invited to indicate their condition when booking in order to access these seats.
Video recording
Any concert may be recorded on video or broadcast on television or by any other means.
Recordings and photos
It is forbidden to record, film or photograph inside the Salle Philharmonique during concerts. The OPRL reserves the right to institute proceedings for compensation for any damage suffered.
Foyer / bars
The bar located in the Eugène Ysaÿe foyer (2nd floor) is accessible before (30 minutes), during the interval and after (45 minutes) the concert. Mobile bars are also available on the various floors. Drinks can be reserved for the break before the concert.
Parking
Parking facilities near the Salle Philharmonique are reserved for subscribers to at least 25 concerts and for Les Amis de l'Orchestre. Several pay car parks not linked to the OPRL are available within a 10-minute walk of the Salle Philharmonique.
Placement
The management reserves the right, in the case of concerts that are not very well attended, to move listeners to seats in an equal or higher category.
It reserves the right to refuse access to the hall to anyone behaving inappropriately or for safety reasons. By entering the hall, ticket holders accept the rules and regulations of the Salle Philharmonique.
Programmes
A free programme is available for most concerts. It can be consulted free of charge on the OPRL website 3 days before the concert.
Mobile phones, smartphones and tablets
Mobile phones, smartphones and tablets must be switched off during concerts.
Cloakroom
The cloakroom is free of charge. For safety reasons, coats, overcoats, umbrellas and bulky items must be left in the cloakroom, as instructed by the hall manager.
Smoking
Smoking is strictly prohibited in all areas of the Salle Philharmonique.
Food and drink
It is forbidden to consume drinks or eat inside the concert hall.
