100% Rossini
This concert is dedicated entirely to one of the greatest composers of the 19th century. Born in Pesaro, on the Adriatic coast, in 1792, and dying in Paris in 1868, Gioachino Rossini wrote some of the world's most famous operas. Five string players from the OPRL join forces to make the much-loved tunes from the overtures to The Barber of Seville and William Tell resound, but they will also make you discover the delights of Rossinian chamber music, through some of his duets and sonatas. All presented with humour and wit by presenter Pierre Solot, exceptionally borrowed from the OPRL’s Music Factory series.
