OPRL+ Folk: Dan San, « Falaise »
To celebrate their 20th anniversary, come and (re)discover the repertoire of Belgian band Dan San, accompanied by the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège. The OPRL and the band will be performing a selection of tracks from their career. From their first EP Pillow to their latest album Suite, including Domino, Shelter and Grand Salon. This is a complete rewrite for orchestra by arranger Gwenaël Mario Grisi, with visuals by Jonas Libon and Camera ETC. The piece, which combines folk and symphonic music in equal measure, is called 'Falaise'. This title crystallises the union of genres, symbolising a meeting of the elements, such as water and rock, sky and earth. It's also a place rich in meaning, a place of fulfilment and introspection, just like the band's music. "Falaise' is part of the OPRL+Folk series.
