Description
For its return to Liège, the Orchestre National de Metz Grand Est has brought together the best French music of the 20th century. It sails on the impressionist waters of Debussy, from the light lapping of the water to the raging waves of the storm; it lets itself be carried away by the whimsical and fatal twirling of Ravel's La Valse; it exhales the evening perfumes of Lili Boulanger; and it capsizes in the Baudelairian universe of Dutilleux's Concerto, entrusted to the fiery temperament of Edgar Moreau. The conductor is Belgian David Reiland, a master of colour and rhythm, always perfectly elegant.
