Poland: Vołosi
Vołosi was formed in the middle of the Beskid Mountains in Poland after a chance encounter between folk and classically-trained musicians. The group indulged in wild improvisation sessions, in which they forged their unique sound. The players explore the full capabilities of their stringed instruments and offer hauntingly-beautiful melodies alongside raw, frenetic playing, fused with echoes of rock, punk, jazz and even film music... From joy to heartbreak, from excitement to serenity, from rage to euphoria, the emotions are all over the place!
