TCHAIKOVSKY, VIOLIN CONCERTO

"L'heure symphonique" is a new series of short, uninterrupted concerts, which allow you enjoy the best of Classical music. The passionate surges of Tchaikovsky open the ball with one of the most luminous works in the Romantic repertoire, the Violin Concerto (1881). Marc Bouchkov, winner of the prestigious Tchaikovsky and Montreal Competitions, is one of the finest interpreters of this work today. With its incandescent orchestration, the symphonic poem Francesca da Rimini draws its inspiration from Dante's Divine Comedy, evoking the eternal damnation of Francesca and her brother-in-law Paolo, condemned to hell for their sacrilegious love.
