A season of "Thrills and spills" in 24-25!
The 24-25 season promises to be one of intense emotions, both in terms of the many unmissable masterpieces that will be performed and the discoveries, encounters and collaborations that have become the hallmark of the OPRL, combining tradition, ambition and artistic excellence.
« Thrills and spills » is also the last season for our musical director Gergely Madaras, who wanted to offer an exceptional finale. Since his arrival in 2019, he has demonstrated that music is an art form that takes your breath away through the strong, exhilarating sensations it provokes in us.
Among the must-see events in 24-25: The Nutcracker, Pictures at an Exhibition, The Rite of Spring, New World Symphony, Spielberg & John Williams soundtracks, the world of musical theatre , Symphonie fantastique and Dante-Symphonie.
The OPRL will be delighted to welcome some exceptional musicians: organists Anna Lapwood and Sebastian Heindl, pianists Elisabeth Leonskaja and Nikolaï Lugansky, ensembles Vox Luminis and Huelgas, singer-songwriter Tucker Zimmerman, Italian folk musicians Officina Zoè, as well as the Johan Dupont Trio and Céline Scheen.
There's plenty for youngsters too! The 4th edition of the Symphokids Festival (18/05/25), Orchestra for children with The Jungle Book and Sleeping Beauty, as well as Beat-Box in the orchestra, The Birds Symphony and The Nutcracker for Christmas, will be on offer. At the Music Factory, you'll be boarding a ship, analysing censorship and the power of money in music, and enjoying the great outdoors!

What's new 24-25
Encouraged by the trust you have shown and the many sold-out concerts in 23-24, the 24-25 season is being expanded to include additional concerts. To fit in with families' busy schedules, Family Sundays is now offering 2 programmes, each performed 3 times ("Pizzicato" for 6-9 year olds and "Maestro" for 8-12 year olds), which you can combine with the "Tutti" package. The Chez Gergely concerts, meanwhile, have been extended to 5 concerts in the season to celebrate Gergely Madaras' final season as our Music Director.
