Make way for the double bass!
Have you always been intrigued by the double bass? Are you moved by its profound gravitas? Would you like to discover its unexpected charms? Here's an event you won't want to miss! The double bass (the lowest instrument in the violin family) was introduced to the orchestra in the middle of the seventeenth century and is affectionately known by musicians as "the grandmother". It is an essential part of both the classical and jazz worlds. Four musicians from the OPRL, accompanied by Geoffrey Baptiste at the piano, will help you discover all its facets.
